Welcome to Five Roots Farm: Where Our Story Begins
Welcome to Five Roots Farm! We’re so glad you’re here.
Our story officially began in July 2025, when we purchased 22 acres of completely raw land with a dream of creating something special for our family—and eventually, for our community.
Since then, we’ve been hard at work transforming those 22 acres into the place we’ve imagined for years. There is still a lot of work ahead of us, but watching it slowly come to life has made every long day worth it.
Rooted in Family
At the heart of Five Roots Farm is family.
We have three adult sons and their families who will also be building homes here on the farm. Our vision is to create a place where our family can put down roots, live a little closer to the land, and build something that can hopefully be enjoyed for generations.
But we don’t want to keep it all to ourselves.
Our hope is that Five Roots Farm becomes a place where other families can slow down, spend time together, learn more about where their food comes from, and enjoy some of the simple things that are so easy to lose in our busy lives.
Growing Our Own Food
One of our biggest goals is to grow more of our own food.
We are planning a large garden where we can grow fresh, seasonal produce throughout the year. As the farm grows, we hope to make some of that produce available to our community as well.
We already have our first farm residents—chickens! Our hens are laying fresh eggs, and we plan to add even more chickens over the next few months.
Next on the list? Goats!
And something tells me our animal family probably won’t stop there.
More Than a Farm
Our vision for Five Roots goes beyond growing food and raising animals.
Eventually, we want to welcome people onto the farm for events, seasonal activities, fresh produce, animals, and opportunities for families to simply enjoy being outside together.
We aren’t trying to create a huge commercial farm. We want to create something personal—a place that helps reconnect people with food, family, wellness, and a simpler way of living.
Wellness at Five Roots
Wellness is another important part of our story.
I am an integrative and functional medicine nurse, and preventative wellness has always been a passion of mine. Over the years, I have become increasingly aware of what we put in our bodies, on our bodies, and inside our homes.
That passion is becoming the Five Roots wellness line.
I’ve spent a lot of time researching the products we plan to offer because I don’t want our wellness shop to simply be a collection of products. I want it to be a thoughtfully selected resource for families looking for cleaner options.
Our website will soon offer carefully selected wellness supplements and clean, non-toxic products, along with a wellness section where I’ll share practical tips, education, and information to help you make more informed choices for yourself and your family.
And Finally… The Bakery!
This may be one of the parts we’re most excited to share.
Homemade baked goods are coming to Five Roots!
Our goal is to make delicious baked goods using simple, thoughtfully chosen ingredients without all of the unnecessary processed junk found in so many foods today.
One of our specialties will be gluten-free baking, and we plan to have plenty of gluten-free breads, desserts, and other treats available.
We believe eating differently shouldn’t mean missing out on the foods you love.
Follow Our Journey
Five Roots Farm is very much a work in progress.
There will be gardens to plant, fences to build, animals to bring home, recipes to perfect, products to research, and probably plenty of mistakes and lessons along the way.
And we want to share all of it with you.
We hope you’ll follow along as we turn these 22 raw acres into our family’s dream and build a place centered around family, fresh food, wellness, and community.
This is just the beginning.
Welcome to Five Roots Farm.
Rooted in family. Grown with purpose.
